Wonderful roundtrip with breakin breathing overwiev. Departing from San Volfango to Drenchia. A short before Cras turn on the nice touristic road that one kilometer and an half later arrives on Rifugio Solarie esplanade and at the beginning of Kolovrat road. From here the uphill, never too hard, along Kolovrat crest that is the border between Italy and Slovenia. Wide overview and it's worth to stop more than once. A short before the Confine di Stato (now closed) you can find Alpine Giuseppe Zanuso's monument and a dedicated bivouac, opened for trippers. Downhill on the same road to Rifugio Solarie. Here (suggested a stop), turn left on the path that goes down in the wood to Clabuzzaro. You can find here the normal road again and in short you can be in San Volfango. A part from the path between Rifugio Solarie and San Volfango in bad conditions (but at worst you walk), all the roads are good even the country ones.
