This roundtrip is a variant of "Caludranza". The climb to Joanaz is along the same path, but descent, once arrived at Madonnina del Domm, pass though Masarolis insted of passing along the sigle-track below Caludranza. This single-track actually (april 2002) is in bad conditions due to the cut trees all over the path. The first piece climbs on the woods of Mt. Mladessena and Mt. Craguenza western side and reaches Spignon road. From Puller large overwies, the road continues to Bocchetta di Masarolis where enters the upper Natisone Valley and begins to climb round eastern, northern and the western sides of Mt. Joanaz. Descent begins from top of Mt. Joanaz on a path along the southern ridge to Madonnina del Domm where begins the normal road to Masarolis. The another nice country road goes near Reant and from here normal road reaches Case Rieca, Canalutto, Torreano and finally Ronchis. This roundtrip is long, altitude difference is high, but overviews are fantastic and from Mount Joanaz there's a long, easy, amazing descent greatly on aspalthed road.

1,9 - Just few meters ahead "Da Menia" Inn, take the country road that fords Chiarò river and hhortly after begins to climb on the right. The first stretch is in cement, then in very good conditions.
4,5 400 Forking. Turn right. Rising is hardless. The path on the left comes from a quarry.
5,4 449 Cross with la "Spignon" road: turn left. The track rises on constant slope. Sometimes the road-bed in not in good conditions.
6,1 492 Fork . Keep on rising on the right. The beautiful road on the left descends to Costa. Stay on the main track.
6,8 553 Deserted small barracks and bunkers. Keep on climbing on the left.
8,1 660 Crossing. The roads on the right go to Puller and to Nlower Natisone Valley. Go ahead following "Maserolis" signs.
8,6 - Country road ends and asphalted road begins. Go ahead.
8,7 693 Forking. The road on the right goes to Pegliano. Turn left. From here there's a pleasant stretch to above Masarolis. Don't take care to "No thoroughfare" signs because now the road is OK.
12,3 750 Hairpin bend on the road from Masarolis to Tamoris. Climb turning right.
13,0 800 Tamoris. Stay on the right.
13,1 805 Just passed Tamoris there's a fork: take the road on the right.
14,4 925 After an hard climb there's a deserted barracks and a country road starts. Go ahead.
14,7 - Road has little slope. The path on the right goes to the top of Mt. Vorsic, where there was a radar until few years ago. Keep on the left.
15,1 960 "Bocchetta di Masarolis" (Masarolis pass). Go ahead. Descent to Montefosca begins. The hill on the right is Mt. Klabuk. The road on the left ends shortly after.
16,9 884 Forking. Take the road on the left that climbs northern side of Mt. Joanaz. There's grass on the bed of this first piece of track. Overview are beautiful on upper Natisone Valley, on Gran Monte and on Mt. Canin.
20,5 1075 Crossing with the road that climbs from Madonnina del Domm to Mt. Joanaz. Turn left.
21,2 1145 Shortly after a small fir-trees wood, take la path that climbs on the right to the top and then goes down straight to radio station.
21,5 1140 Radio/meteo station with antennas ans sun-power cells. Amazing overview from Dolomiti to Adriatic Sea. Go down along the clear path to Madonnina del Domm.
23,0 960 Madonnina del Domm, War Memorial and sheds. Take the country road that goes down on the right.
23,1 950 Cross with the normal road that from Bocchetta di Sant'Antonio goes to Tamoris. Turn left. Alpini Shelter (closed) and descent towards Tamoris. Some signs advise tha road is closed due to landslips: is not true because actually road is opened.
24,9 - The landslide has been removed and road repaired. Go ahead.
25,3 805 Fork: go down on the right. The road that raisesstraight on is the one taken before, towards the Bocchetta di Masarolis.
25,4 800 Tamoris. Still go down, on the left.
26,1 750 Hairpin bend and cross with the road to Pegliano. Keep going down, on the right.
26,7 - Just before "Masarolis" signs take the steep road that goes down on the right and, once in the in village, keep going down.
26,9 - Fork after a tiled stretch. Take the normal road on the right.
27,0 - Take the lower left road and pass through the small bridge following signs to "Reant". The road goes softly down leaving Masarolis.
27,5 - A country road begins. It's Reant-Masarolis path into wonderful woods.
29,5 600 After a short asphalted piece there the cross with normal road that from Rieca climbs to Reant. Go down on the left. The descent is hard.
31,6 366 Case Rieca (Rieca Houses). Junction with road from Masarolis: Keep going down towards Canalutto.
32,2 307 Gniviza. "Alle Cave" ("At the Quarries") Bar just near the old ""Cava Grande" ("Big Quarry"). Keep going down ahead.
33,0 - Canalutto. Go ahead. Once passed the village cross the bridge on the Chiarò River.
34,6 210 Go ahead. On the left there's the road to Laurini and Costa.
35,5 - Torreano. Keep going down passing through the village.
